2) In some other News, based off a twitter report from NFL PR guy, the NFL is considering extending the NFL draft to go from Thursday to Sunday.
Shutdown Cornder, from Yahoo Sports, is pretty adamantly against it. I think it’s kind of a cool idea, but the more interesting part about this story is the idea that this year’s NFL draft will be considered “the first twitter draft”.
Lots of NFL people were twittering throughout the draft from commisioner Roger Godell to Shawne Merriman. Althought i’m a huge fan of twitter, I don’t know how much it will change the NFL draft. We shall see however. I do feel like the NFL draft is becoming more and more of a popular sporting event, a reflection of our society’s obsession with youth and potential. There are already articles previewing next years NFL draft, someone should probably tweet about that.
